i love when us humans get goosebumps

I’m going to let you in on a little secret that will make your life easier. There is no such thing as “the one”.
No such thing as a one and only “soul mate”. Let these notions go, you will live a more confidant and happy love life.
You project those feelings onto someone, (like a laser) and will go through life projecting that feeling onto many different people. Humans are meant to be able to experience this over and over again with many lovers throughout their life. And out of the billions of humans that there are: there is a vast number of partners on the planet who will all be able to make you feel “soul mated”.
It’s healthy, and it’s like trying on different pairs of shoes before you go out and buy a pair.
As soon as one relationship ends, of course you go through a grieving and healing process that takes some considerable time. But eventually, you will feel the same bone crushing, boner inducing, hallucination-like feelings for someone else, only this time, it will be for all new reasons, and for the better.
Updated reasons. Current reasons. Unforeseen reasons. Reasons your previous experiences have taught you. And you will, over and over again, with each new experience, feel mated, and part of a greater whole.
And each time you go through this, it makes the last time seem like a stepping stone. A learning experience.
So for those who are wrapped up in fear over whether or not they will find anyone better then the one they are with. Know that life is so much longer then you’d think, and you will find many, many chances to be with Mr. or Mrs. Right. And many, many chances to be with Mr. or Ms. Right-Now.
The thing that keeps marriages together (because 20+ years of tapping the same genital does lose a level of excitement)
Is: Common Goals, and Common Interests.
The infatuation you feel in the first few years WILL become routine, especially as you both go on to face stresses together. Don’t pout, your interests will evolve beyond tapping that fine ass at every moment’s notice. Common goals, interests, and a friendship are the things that form, and create a “soul mate”. This will last and support you far beyond the brief infatuations of lust, and all the intoxicating feelings that play out over the first few years of a relationship.
TL;DR=
Experience as much lovely humans as lovers as you want before you settle down. In fact, i think you should.
Your deepest instincts will thank you, and you will be smarter as to who you ought to be coupled with.
Marriage won’t solve your sketchy relationship.
Babies won’t solve your sketchy marriage.
Lasting marriage = Common goals, common interests, and a real friendship.
Spend your one and only life doing what makes you happy, and when you want to settle down, find someone in the same happy boat as you.
I see us as any other beast. We only think we are different because we are the humans thinking it. But to aliens, we are just another species. And all the shit that we do, the things that happens to our species, is just meant to be, hundreds and thousands of years will shape us and evolve us. 90% of species are meant to become extinct anyways, so whatever happens happens. Hopefully we survive long enough to keep evolving into the next phase of evolution. So just like any other animal is magnificent, so must humans be.
You’re right, not everyone can become exactly who they admire. I would not be able to attain Einstein’s level of mathematic skill at this point as a 22 year old who hasn’t liked math since the 9th grade. Or Gandhi’s level of social justice because as of right now the circumstances are not the same in my life and in my culture. But Einstein and Gandhi are household names known for amazing things. If you admire that, and want to be a household name known for amazing things, then that’s all you really need. Even if you don’t become that, you have a good mindset and having a good mindset is half the battle in life.
My point is, is that the average human is a capable and magnificent beast. I think nature and science is begging the human race to make it easier to bring that out of the masses. Right now, the money system dictates that we need more work, obedience, and monotony from the average human.. more then the average human is designed for. Sub optimal species performance. The humans in the optimal position now (the rich, and the gvmnt), are raised to stay there no matter the cost, and are not necessarily the creme of the crop as far as intelligence, compassion, future planning, creativity, critical thinking, or even leadership.
This is by far my favourite quote from any movie ever.
